Do I

qualify

for Even?

Find out whether Even could be right for you, what you need to join Even, and the kind of homes you could buy.

Could Even help me?

We want to help as many people as possible on the road to home ownership, but there are certain criteria worth knowing about.

You're a first-time buyer

If you already own a home, you’re doing better than most! We’re here to help those that really need that first leg up.

You have good credit

We’re currently unable to accept those with IVAs on their credit file or CCJs/defaults registered in the last two years. That’s not to say we can’t help you once you’ve fixed your credit, though.

You can afford your repayments

We need to make sure your household income is enough to cover all the outgoings associated with home ownership.

How much money do I need?

You need to have at least some money saved towards your first home — but once you’ve got the savings pot going, Even can get you onto the ladder much faster.

At least
5% deposit

Whatever your target budget, you must contribute 5% of the total property value at purchase

Minimum
75% mortage

Don’t forget the extras

Buying a home has a lot of ‘hidden’ costs, so be sure to budget for things like stamp duty and solicitor fees.

What kind of
home could I buy?

With Even, you have your pick of properties from sites like Rightmove and Zoopla — but there are a few criteria your home needs to meet.

Pre-owned homes only

Help to Buy is for new builds, but Even is ideal for those who prefer the character of a pre-owned home.

Must be mortgageable

You must be able to get a traditional mortgage on the property, which could be a problem if a property is very run-down or unique.

Sorry, no buy-to-lets

You must be intending to live in (and love!) the home you buy.

This is an overview of our main criteria, get in touch to get the full picture.
